New Features:
- The Workshop API was released today providing the ability for in-house developers or 3rd parties to leverage data available inside of Workshop Software to utilise for bespoke needs. In addition to the API being made available, some general updates to the API credentials and user interface are as follows;
- Improved CRM Tools by introducing a new combined API settings page, giving users a single place to manage both the Workshop API and Public Booking API.
- Improved security of the Workshop API by restricting direct access to Platinum subscribers only, while Gold subscribers continue to access data via Podium as before.
- Improved account security by ensuring Workshop API and Public Booking API access is automatically revoked if a subscription is downgraded below Platinum.
- Improved the reliability of Workshop API credential generation, ensuring newly created API credentials work correctly the first time they're used.
- Workshop Software users now have the option to use Google Single Sign On (SSO) when accessing their Workshop Software account, including a one-tap sign-in option for returning users. In addition to this being introduced as a new login options, a general update to the settings and user interface to support the change are as follows;
- Improved user settings by allowing users to link or unlink their Google account at any time from their profile settings.
Updates:
- Resolved an issue where NZ vehicle registration lookups intermittently failed due to inconsistent configuration between environments. Registration lookups will now behave consistently across all environments.
- Resolved an issue where Gold subscribers were incorrectly blocked from activating Podium, receiving a message stating a Platinum subscription was required. Gold subscribers can now activate Podium as expected.
- Improved the underlying technology behind the Admin Dashboard Countries/States screen to support future enhancements, with no change to how the screen is used.
